eleven; more worries
I know I may not be the most intelligent woman on the Earth but it seems that putting yourselves and your loved ones in danger is taking a step back.

Perhaps some people should think before writing something that could get people they care about killed.

I think I'll start baking again.

[Private: Self]

She may be right about what I wrote wasn't really necessary but I highly doubt anyone is going to care what I wrote. The Death Eaters won't care about me, I'm not threat to them. The wizarding world won't care what I say because I have no power, I'm just an assistant.

I am a nobody.

Far be it from me to pass judgment on any who might wish to react to the events of the past few days, Ms McGonagall, but might I ask that you keep your judgment of others to yourself as well, so as not to add further to the sense of unease that everyone is feeling at the moment?

I understand entirely your concern, but please remember that you are an employee of the Ministry of Magic. Please understand that in the face of a man who promises to bring war to the Ministry and Wizarding England as we know it, civilians are reading your words and drawing their own conclusions about the state of the Ministry.

I can understand what you're saying but they are just being down right careless. Perhaps I was being a bit mean about it but they are putting themselves in danger and their loved ones. They seem to think that their actions wont have any consequences or if they do realize they don't seem to care what those consequences are.

I suppose I can understand that but I'm a nobody. I'm just an assistant, I have no power, no one could care less about what I say or do.

You miss my point entirely.

Ms McGonagall, you are not a nobody; you are a Ministry employee. Everything that you say reflects upon the Ministry -- which, need I remind you, is currently at war with the very terrorists who you are berating others for needlessly enraging. Civilians for the most part look to us as a collective, and they take their cues from us to react in the face of such a threat. The impression that you are putting forth is that of someone who stands in fear of their threats; the cue that people take from this may very well be fear and panic.

Understand that I am not invalidating your fears, for they are more than justified. However, nobody charged you with the task of pointing out when other people are being rashly outspoken, and what they have done is already done -- I have no doubt that their loved ones are, as a matter of fact, aware of this, and that the fallout for each and every person's individual decisions are already underway. In short, your hindsight is not necessary, and what you have said accomplished nothing productive. Quite to the contrary: you are showing weakness to the Death Eaters, and uncertainty to the civilians who look to the Ministry.

My apologies. I didn't realize my statement would mean anything.

I strongly suggest thinking about the implications of what you are writing before setting quill to parchment again.

I suppose. I just wanted to point out that while I can understand a lot of people are angry, it's not a good idea to continue to say some of the things they are saying, they're putting themselves and their loved ones in danger.

Then Mrs. Warrington felt to tell me that as a Ministry member, I shouldn't write such things because that will add further suspicion to the Ministry and weakness to the Death Eaters.
