three; you pick the winner!
Well since I've been reading a lot about pets I started to wonder yesterday evening. Why don't I have one?! Seems completely outrageous that I don't have a pet, doesn't it? Now I've been thinking about what I want and it's rather hard to pick! I have narrowed it down to these choices!

A. Cat (Crazy old lady with 50 cats sounds like me)
B. Dog (Nothing too big or drools a lot)

Okay, I only came up with either a dog or a cat, but feel free to pass along more choices!

I like this idea! I need at least two, that way they each have someone to play with when I'm not around. I like your thinking!

I like it so much I've three cats. Lot of shelters have little fellows that do best adopted in pairs too, and they're so often passed over.

50's a lofty goal! Lofty and noble.

I have no idea why, cats are the cutest creatures in the world.

Thank you very much!

I like you, why aren't we friends?

Reckon my not really knowing you's standing in the way of that. But, I feel we've a firm foundation to build upon here.

You'll have to share photographs of any future cats, by the way. It's what we people do.

Well then I love a good introduction! Names Magrat McGonagall. You may call me Mags if you wish, never Maggie or I will let my future kittens use you as a scratching post.

I shall!

Like it says, my name's Royden, but you're free to call me Roy. Or Den, really, I bet I'd answer. Pleasure to meet you!

A dog. Definitely a dog. Angus and Nick have an adorable little dog at the castle and that is where my vote is going.

That would be useful for a future "my dog ate my paperwork." Not that I've lost anything. I don't think?

Maybe you should just refrain from any pets. Or... a goldfish? I don't think goldfish eat paperwork.

Valid point. Probably something I should consider.

I've got a couple of goldfish, and I can safely say they do not eat paperwork!

... but they're also not a dog. Is it too late to vote for one of those? Er, again? Is this even a vote?

Correction: Nick has a wall-eyed rat in a sweater that goes around calling itself a dog. And Madog has the dog with the stripper name. I have no pets unless the horses count.

You are so old and bitter when it comes to animals.

And the only other Trixie I know is an accountant.

Accountant.

I recently got myself a goldfish and a cat. They seem to be getting along so far.

That could work, though I'd have to make sure I put him in a place where the cat couldn't reach. Which could be difficult they can be extremely clever if they want to.

Or use magic. I've got the fishbowl charmed so that the cat can't get at the goldfish. And I have seen the cat eying the goldfish.

I've got a Kneazle and wouldn't trade him for the world, but that's me. How much time do you have to give your pet? A dog would need more than a cat, that's well-known, but there's breeds and such to consider as well, some dogs can be better suited for you than others, etc.

Sorry, I'm getting carried away. Professional habit, I admit.

Get a dog. I always wanted a dog but I've never let myself have a pet. That'd be cruelty to the poor animal. But I'm all for living vicariously through others.

A hazard of letting young children name one's pets, I suppose. I've come to rather enjoy saying "Spike, Killer, and Peaches", though.
